  1. Welcome to Einstein Search: Now On by Default

Einstein Search adds personalized search results, record previews from the search box, and natural language searches and now it is enabled by default at no extra cost.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and all versions of the Salesforce Mobile app in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

2. Lightning Page Performance

Lightning framework, being slightly heavy on the front end brings along various factors that may affect the Expected Page-load Time (EPT) for a Lightning Page at runtime. Now you can see your users’ performance metrics which will be analyzed using data from the last 90 days and according to that you decide which recommendations to take or to defer.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

3. Dashboards with Dynamic Gauge Charts(Beta)

With dynamic gauge charts, you’re no longer tied to static goals or performance levels. Build your gauge chart using report metrics and field values that respond dynamically to your business.

Where: These changes apply to Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

4. Personalized Home Page for Salesforce Mobile Users

Mobile Home is the new default landing page that your end users can personalize with the items they want to see first when they open the mobile app, be it today’s Tasks, a List View showing Opportunities closing this week, etc. Administrators can add Mobile Home to any phone-activated Lightning app, or to the Mobile Only navigation and then the Mobile Home tab is visible to users only on their mobile app and not on their desktop.

Where: This change applies to the Salesforce mobile app for iOS and Android in all editions, except Database.com.

5. Restriction Rules and Scoping Rule

Restriction Rules (Generally Available): To control which subset of records should be allowed to specified users to see, you can create restriction rules which can help in securing your data and boost productivity by permitting your users to see only the records necessary for their job function.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

 Scoping Rules (Beta): By adding scoping rules, you can reduce noise and unnecessary searches which can help users to focus on pertinent records and prevents them from accessing records that contains sensitive and inessential information.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Performance and Unlimited editions.

6. Lightning Pages with Dynamic Interactions

Now you can use Dynamic Interactions to create applications with components that can communicate and transform based on user actions.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

7. New Forecast Category

Along with the four standard categories, now you can also add one more category called “Most Likely forecast”. This gives you more flexibility to reflect your business practices in Collaborative Forecasts.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and all versions of the mobile app in Professional, Performance, and Developer editions and in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with the Sales Cloud.

8. Flow Orchestrator (Beta)

Build sophisticated business processes that involve multiple people over multiple stages with multiple flows. Flow Orchestrator gives you the power to automate complex processes without writing any code.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

9. Send List Email through an External Email Provider (Pilot)

Now you can send list emails via external email providers also like Gmail, Office 365, or Microsoft Exchange.

Where: This update is available in Lightning Experience in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

 

10. Email Template Builder

The email template builder is a visual tool for creating rich, engaging email templates. In past few releases Email Template Builder has received many updates that have helped users to create great looking emails.
